The College Library facility is an information commons style two-building complex, centrally-located within walking distance of the academic buildings on campus. Library collections are housed at 5329 Didesse Drive, with ample seating for social and academic use. The Library Commons, at 5339 Didesse Drive, offers student computers, study rooms, social academic soft-seating areas, café seating, refreshment center, and rooms for collaborative work. Wireless connectivity is available throughout the Library and Library Commons have fifteen dedicated student study rooms for group and/or individual study.

The College Library is an integral part of the learning resources of Our lady of the Lake College . The Library facilitates learning, teaching, scholarship and lifelong learning opportunities by providing students, faculty, staff and the broader College community with access to information and a variety of educational support services. Library faculty and staff work closely with colleagues in academic departments to ensure that its resources and services meet the changing needs of its users.

The College Library is committed to developing and maintaining an instructional support collection, both in print and electronic media, to support the College's educational, research and public service programs. The Library's collection and services reflect both the curricula and the general information needs of the academic community. The Library offers:

  1. A collection of more than 30,000  print and electronic books;
  2. More than 300 periodical subscription titles, with access to thousands of  additional periodicals through electronic resources;
  3. An audio visual collection of over 1,700 items;
  4. A collection of reference materials, including a reserve collection of faculty-selected readings and course textbooks;
  5. Reference assistance, virtual reference options and an “Ask A Librarian" service;
  6. Computers, photocopiers, printers, Internet access and Microsoft Office software is installed on all student computers;
  7. Group study rooms;
  8. Wireless access to the OLOLC  network.

To provide resources not owned by Our lady of the Lake College , the Library draws from resources nationally by participating in the American Library Association's Interlibrary Loan Program and the Louisiana Library Network.

The Mission of the Library is to provide to the College enterprise physical and electronically-delivered resources for the support of teaching and learning. Toward that mission, the College Library and the Library Commons generally are open during the hours listed below. During intersessions and holidays, hours may vary.
